Central Backup

From SolusVM

Central Backup allows your clients to backup and restore their virtual servers on an offsite location. Central Backup supports OpenVZ and Xen Paravirtualization with Xen HVM support to follow in a later release.

Requirements

• To use Central Backup you will need a dedicated server installed with SolusVM backup.
• For Backups of Xen based virtual servers you need enough free LVM space to make a snapshot of your largest virtual server.
• A large /home partition is required, all backups are stored in /home/backup

How to Use Central Backups

You can configure the amount of backups and backup server each virtual server can have via plans, custom installs or from the virtual servers manage area.

For existing VPS you will need to go to Virtual Servers > List > Select your VPS > Central Backup > Select a Backup Server and the number of Backups allowed.
